GS Jewels

Before certificates, there was
a family's word.

GS Jewels is a unit of Gurcharan Singh & Sons of Saraffan Bazar, Ludhiana — a gemstone house passed hand to hand for four generations.

The 1920s

The founding

A counter opens in Saraffan Bazar, Ludhiana's jewellers' street. Gurcharan Singh begins trading in stones the old way — by eye, by weight, by word. In a bazaar where reputation was the only certificate, the house earns its first.

Second generation

The name

The sons inherit the counter and the discipline. Gurcharan Singh & Sons becomes a name other traders quote — the house that would rather lose a sale than pass a doubtful stone.

Third generation

The trade's trust

The house becomes the house other jewellers buy from. Wholesale parcels move through Ludhiana on the family's word. When laboratories arrive, the house welcomes them — science confirming what the eye had always known.

Today

The fourth generation

A hundred years on, the same eye serves retailers, astrologers and seekers across 195 countries — 10,000+ stones in inventory, every one certified, photographed and filmed before it leaves Ludhiana.
